At Smashing Magazine [in] doing an analysis of recent trends in the design of the websites of newspapers and magazines.

The editorial design and layout of a newspaper can be rewarded but his website does not have to match the quality and style of paper.

  • hierarchy and organization of content,
  • integration of feeds,
  • navigation and usability,
  • interactivity (social networks, comments)
  • typography and color palette,
  • size and location of advertising.

There are many tools to check the PageRank (PR) of a page but more complicated is to check each and every one of the internal pages of a site.

The extension SeoQuake for Firefox adds a toolbar to your browser Firefox with information from the PR of the page you visit, like the Google Toolbar but with a lot more data.

the interesting thing is to do a search on your site in Google, ie:

site: pqpq.es

You appear every page that Google has indexed with information from the PR, delicious, Alex, age (Wayback Machine), and so on. You can sort by parameters and save the results.
