According to the Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 Web colors front and background should have enough contrast to read easily by people with visual difficulty.
At Jucy Studio there is an online tool to test a combination of colors. Insert the hexadecimal values, the formula used will tell you whether it is appropriate, accessible or in other words if you have enough contrast or not.
