National Geographic Photo Contest 2007

This photo contest allows you to send your work via web or e-mail. A maximum of 6 photographs with photographic equipment to gain a full and increase your CV and ego.

National Geographic, in collaboration with Hewlett Packard (HP), convenes its 2nd Photo Contest NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC.

2. AWARDS:
Among all the photos received will be awarded a first prize and second prize category.

1st PRIZE:
Team of HP digital photography comprising: R927 digital camera, photo printer A717 with carrying bag, battery and Photopack 110 (cartridge further 110 120 sheets 10 × 15)

The 3 photos that have obtained the first prize will automatically participate in the international phase of the photo NG to be held in Washington DC in October 2007 and is governed by its own bases, entirely apart from the present .

Additionally, among the three winners of each category will draw a notary Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe.

2nd PRIZE:

HP digital photography equipment comprising: R837 Digital Camera, Photo Printer A612 with Photopack 110 (cartridge further 110 120 sheets 10 × 15)

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

a. May participate in the competition all subscribers and readers of the magazine National Geographic, Travel and National Geographic National Geographic History, except for employees and family members of the National Geographic Society, RBA Revistas SA and other companies linked to the contest.

b. Each participant may submit up to 6 photos in any category.

c. Photographs may be in color or black and white and taken by an analog or digital camera.

d. The photographs must have been carried out on 15 September 2004 and the effective date for the competition.

e. To compete will be the following steps for registration:

- Complete the form with personal details of the author, who is in the "Join" the website http://www.nationalgeographic.com.es/concursofotos/

- Complete the Application Form for each photo you chose for the competition, which is in the "Join" page http://www.nationalgeographic.com.es/concursofotos/ Internet

f. Shipping:

The participant has two options for sending / s photo / s: online or by mail.

f.1. DELIVERY THROUGH INTERNET

The participant chooses to send / s photo / s through the Internet must meet the following requirements:

- Complete the registration form for each photo you chose for the competition, which is on page http://www.nationalgeographic.com.es/concursofotos/. Send the image to our server through the same form.

- The format of the photographs should read JPG image with a minimum resolution of 5 megapixels (about 2500 px wide and 2000px high).

- Will not be accepted nor extrapolations size artistic touches of the images beyond the brightness and contrast.

- The photographs on display recognizable people must be accompanied by a letter signed by such persons authorizing the use of his image.

f.2. E-mail:

The participant chooses to send / s photo / s by mail must meet the following requirements:

- Send a print size paper up to 24 x 30 cm, in color or black and white.

- Each photograph must be accompanied by a printout of the registration form duly signed. Also in the back of each photograph must also include the name and address of the author, category, title, date and place of the photograph.

- Along with the photograph and the form must be accompanied by a duplicate of the original CD / DVD, transparency, negative or slide of 35 mm.

- The photographs on display recognizable people must be accompanied by a letter signed by such persons authorizing the use of his image.

g. Calendar:

- The date of receipt starts April 25, 2007 and ends on September 3, 2007, inclusive, on the official date stamp of the post office.

- The decision of the jury and the winner of the draw will be made public at the National Geographic magazine of November 2007 and the website from 24 http://www.nationalgeographic.com.es/concursofotos/ October 2007.

h. The jury will be composed of the director of National Geographic magazine and a team of photographers and photo editors of international recognition.

i. The assessment criteria of the jury will be creativity and photographic quality.

j. The selection of winners will be at absolute discretion of the jury and its decision shall be final and without appeal.

k. The organization did not respond phone calls or answer queries in writing or orally on the development of competition. Participants must await the publication of the decision of the jury. Only 3 of 3 winners and finalists will be notified by telephone.

l. The draw will be made before a notary September 25

m. The prizes will be awarded at the place that the publisher RBA Revistas SA determined at the time.

n. In the absence of any of the advertised prizes, it is replaced by a similar or higher value.

Prizes for photography equipment HP claimed only until December 31, 2007.

4. RESTRICTIONS

a. Participants must be over 18 years and residing in Spain.

b. Photographs will not be accepted by persons other than the author or that are not owned by the author.

c. The photographs may not be altered electronically or by any other means. Neither accepted photomontages. Corrections will be minimal color and brightness.

d. Not accept photos that have been published, exhibited and / or awards in the past.

e. The participant represents and warrants to RBA REVISTAS, SA (RBA) which is the sole owner of all copyright in the photograph presented to the Competition.

Participation in the contest involves the assignment by the winners and finalists for the RBA rights of reproduction, distribution, public communication and transformation of photographic works, which may appear in various magazines published under the brand name with National Geographic reference to the Competition, as well as Web www.nationalgeographic.com.es always citing the source and author.

Once the Spanish edition of the competition, any reuse or subsequent publication by the RBA RBA Group companies or the pictures, and without regard to competition, will be the subject of consideration in terms of market. In any case, RBA will respect the moral rights that he holds about his photography.

f. Participants who do not comply with any of the requirements indicated in this call will be automatically disqualified.

5. GENERAL

a. prints on photo paper, transparencies, negatives or digital files sent to the contest will not be returned to participants, or send acknowledgments. Are advised to submit copies or duplicates.

b. Will be borne by each participant at risk for loss or damage to photographs, slides or negatives during shipment.
